Clear Creek ISD offers robust Career & Technical Education (CTE) programming for students in ninth through twelfth grade and several courses for career exploration for students in seventh through eighth grade. While reinforcing state and national academic standards, CTE courses provide exposure to and training in career areas of direct interest to the student.

Quality Programs & Certification Opportunities

CCISD CTE programs have received state and national recognition and in many programs, students may earn certifications or accreditations in their field of study.


 

Specialty Programs

Clear Creek ISD features a wide variety of specialty CTE programs that offer students the opportunity to deeply explore career areas of study. Due to facility and programming requirements, some of the specialty programs are located at a specific campus within the District.

To participate in a specialty program, students will:

  • Determine the career cluster and specialty program of most interest
  • Apply to participate in the program*
  • If accepted, register for classes using the CCISD Education Planning Guide, during the course registration window

*Upon application and acceptance into a specialty program, a student may either travel to that campus for the periods the program classes are offered, or the student may apply for a transfer to become a student of that campus. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to these programs.

Programs of Study

Programs of study are course sequences that prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in their chosen career.  While students are not required to follow these exact sequences, they are highly recommended if a student is confident about their chosen career path.

      The Clear Creek Independent School District offers Career and Technical Education programs in the following cluster areas: Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources; Business Management and Administration; Arts, AV Technology and Communication; Architecture and Construction; Education and Training; Finance; Health Science (Medical); Hospitality and Tourism; Human Services; Information Technology; Manufacturing; Marketing; Science, Technology, Engineering and Math; Transportation. Admission to these programs is based on interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, and class space available.
